The MOST of Us Traffic Safety Resource Center™ houses a library of materials and activities for traffic safety professionals. MOST of Us created the TSRC is to make traffic safety research and resources created by MOST of Us and others in the field available in one central clearinghouse.
MOST of Us is the first program in the country to use social norms marketing at a statewide level and to address issues such as tobacco use prevention and seatbelt use on a large scale. We continue to research new areas using a social norms-centered environmental prevention strategy.
MOST of Us was founded in 1998 by Jeff Linkenbach, Ed.D. Our organization strives to bring together various disciplines to conduct research projects. Many of these research projects are focused on creating effective media campaigns based on sound social science. MOST of Us uses the Montana Model of Social Norms Marketing as a foundation and guide to create campaigns that include or produce the following:
- Only positive images and science-based statistics
- Messages that come straight from the community
- Measured healthier behavior and attitudes
- Innovative technologies (web-based surveys, CD-ROMs)
- Public outreach and media advocacy
- Fun, engaging promotional items
